There are various types of hot water boilers for pools. The number of smoke passes refers to how, after the burner ignites and heats the water, the generated hot air travels through the boiler one or more times, losing heat before moving towards the chimney. Selecting the Right Hot Water Boiler for a Pool:
- Pool Thermal Capacity: You can determine your required thermal capacity based on whether the pool is indoor or outdoor, water flow rate, and the desired temperature.
- Number of Smoke Passes: Three-pass hot water boilers have higher efficiency than two-pass ones, but the choice should be made according to the pool’s space and size.
